17.12.2011 Show news and health results

This year has been very successful with our puppies! Laggan Ifumi "Fumiko" was in her second puppy show in Helsinki 26th of November, result was again BOS-puppy! Well done! Fumiko's sisters and brothers were also competing at the same show and Kennel Laggan breedergroup ended up as BIS-4-breeder! Congratulations Lea! Our little "blueberry" Aata (We-Sedso Lady Liquorice) was competing as a puppy in Winner 2011 on 4th of December. Aata won Best Puppy of Breed!! She is so much fun to handle and got very nice critique from judge Natalja Nekrosiene. Counting all the results from this year (from Helmi, Aata and Fumiko), results are 6 x BOB-puppy, 2 x BOS-puppy and 1 x 2nd place with honour prize. Not bad at all :)

Mirai No Yume (Miyu), from our first litter, was examined against hip and elbow dysplasia and patella luxation. Hips and elbows looked very nice, knees are grade 1. We are waiting for the official results from Finnish Kennel Club. Eye examination will be completed later.

Well set and angulated legs for her age. Excellent coat and tail. Balanced mover. Excellent performing, handled by an excellent way."

We-Sedso Lady Liquorice: "Feminine female puppy. Head needs some time to develop. Nice eyes, excellent ears. Nice neck and topline. Excellent front for her age. Correct set of legs, balanced angulations. Excellent coat quality and tail. Moving with good balance, just little loose in front. Very pleasant wholeness. Excellent performing, handled by an excellent way."

I am very happy with all those nice words of our youngsters :)

28.9.2011 Helmi's last puppy shows, Fumiko and Aata's first match shows

Let's start with Helmi's succes again. In Sastamala group show on 4th of Sebtember, Helmi was judged in a puppy class by funny Russian man, Nikoy Sedyh. Helmi liked the judge and the judge liked Helmi. Result: BOB-puppy and HP! :) Helmi's last puppy show was in Turku on 17th of Sebtember and Finnish judge Marianne Holm wrote "Very charming. Correct feminine type. Excellent head and beautiful expression. Correct ears. Excellent neck. Well developed front with correct shape. Excellent bones, typical angulations. Correct croup and tail. Stylish way to move." Result: BOB-puppy, honour prize. 5th time in a row, I am so proud of Helmi. We are ready to hit the adult rings after a while :)

Our kids of May, Aata and Fumiko, has also started their training for the future. Aata was attending in a match show arranged same time with the puppy show in Turku and oh boy, Aata loved it! Candies and attention, what more could this girl hope for :-) I had so much fun while handling Aata and she ended up 5th best puppy out of 37 puppies. Well done for the very first time :)

Fumiko, living near to Helsinki, has also started her match show career with flying colors! First she was the best puppy and BIS-2 in a match show in Helsinki and next weekend 2nd best puppy out of 62 puppies! Good job Linda and Fumiko, you rock! :-)

3.9.2011 Kennel meeting of Mirai No

Almost all of our

Mirai No's "puppy meeting" was held on 3rd of Sebtember at my parents place in Halikko. Sun was shining and dogs were happy to play and run in our fenced yard. It was a lot of fun to see the whole pack having fun. Huge thank you for all of you, it was so nice to see you again. More photos of this nice day can be found in our blog.

Helmi continued her show career in Helsinki 13th of August and in Kyröskoski on 21st of August. Now we have been in three shows and Helmi has won BOB-puppy with honour prize all three times! In Helsinki she was also picked up among the six best in the group finals, my little girl did some awesome job! Judgements have been very nice and it has been a joy to handle Helmi.

Here is judgement from Saara Sampakoski: "8 months old, excellent female puppy. Good measurements. Nice head for her age. Beautiful, dark eyes. Nice ears. Excellent front for her age. Beautiful angulations both front & rear. Correct set of legs. Excellent bones. Excellent, strong upper tight. Excellent tail, nice color. Excellent temperament, shows herself by an excellent way."

4.8.2011 Helmi BOB-puppy in Pori International

We-Sedso Going My Way "Helmi" was BOB-puppy with Honour Prize in Pori International Dog Show 31st of July 2011. Helmi is now seven and half months old and this was her very first official show. Not a bad start at all, she was showing herself beautifully :) Judge was Jussi Liimatainen from Finland. No other pups or adult Shiba were awarded so I am really happy about Helmi's succes. You can see photos in our blog :)

10.7.2011 New members of our pack!

Aata    Fumiko

May I introduce, for the future of Mirai No: We-Sedso Lady Liquorice "Aata" & Laggan Ifumi "Fumiko"! These two beautiful girls have moved to their new co-owners. Aata lives with my parents and Iitu and Fumiko's new home is with Linda and Kasper and doggies Nuka & Ella. Huge thanks for Jytte and Helle (again!) and Lea for giving us these lovely, outgoing and smart little girls!

Aata came from Germany last week with my sister. She is our first black&tan! She was born 2nd of May and her dame is japanese import Hirose No Ogihime Go Enshuu Hirosesou "Keiko" and sire lovely We-Sedso On Black Fire "Sasha", who I met on my trip to Germany in February. Fumiko comes from kennel Laggan, she was born 11th of May and is out of We-Sedso Go Nippo and Laggan Yuko. Aata's Japanese lineages and Fumiko's German and Finnish lineages are both very exciting for me in their own ways - I can't wait to see how these promising girls will develop during the next months!

Time flies! Helmi is soon 7 months old and we are really looking forward her first dog show. Before real shows, we have been practising in match shows with a great succes! In April Helmi won 2nd best puppy among about 30 puppies and now in June she was 3rd best puppy and then the best puppy with both over 20 entries. These three shows has been great practise for us, it's always fun to handle Helmi as she is such a happy and open girl. Seems to love the attention but of course we have still things to learn :-)

With Tiuku we have been training agility further on and on 17th of June was our first unofficial competition! Tiuku did great job even though the race was a tough one. Out of 12 dogs, Tiuku was third! Not a bad start :) We have also attended some extra lessons with excellent coaches from the area and despite the warm weather Tiuku have been really good and fast.

Helmi is starting her first obedience course in August, the puppy course durign May and June was really fun and it is nice to train Helmi as she is happy and hungry girl :-) During summer we have still some show trainings to come and in August it's time for my summer holiday!

Helmi1    Helmi2

It's a new year and it means a new family member for our family! I made a trip to Germany, Munchen, on 14-15th of February to pick up a new shiba puppy for the future of Mirai No. We-Sedso Going My Way "Helmi" is a wonderful little girl from Jytte's world famous We-Sedso kennel. I had such a great time in Munchen and I was happy to see so many beautiful Shibas with open, friendly and charming character. Thank you so much Jytte and Helle for everything, most of all my lovely and cute new puppy girl!

Helmi is out of BIS-winning, USA Ch. Kobushi Swords Of Samurai "Daisho" and group-placed Ai-We-Sedso Famous Flyer "Mimi" In my opinion both of them are just stunning and such a good natured Shibas! Helmi has been living here about two weeks now, and we are IN LOVE! "Helmi" means pearl in finnish, and I could not think better name for her!

Tiuku is happy for her new little sister and also Iitu accepted this funny puppy while spending last week in Salo. Helmi loves all people and is very brave and easy girl, it feels that she fits our family so well already.

Saki, Nene and Miyu moved to their owners almost 2 months ago. I have met them all now in their new homes and oh my, they are just soo happy little girls. It was so nice to see them all again and see by my own eyes how well they are developing and coming along with their new owners. I look forward to the January - we have a litter-meeting in Halikko. Girls are 5 month old then and looking more adults already.

I also met Shiro (Rollick's Face The Challenge) in Helsinki. Shiro is cousin of the Tiuku's pups. Shiro moved to Finland at the beginning of October from Tiuku's breeder. He is 10 days older than Saki, Nene and Miyu and very handsome little guy! And a real gentleman, too. It was so much fun to see Nene and Shiro playing in the park and I am looking forward to see him too in our meeting.

Tiuku and I are enjoying agility so much, we have work-outs every Monday. I am not sure which one of us is enjoying more :-) Tiuku is very fast and eager, and also the harder things are getting better all the time. Tiuku also enjoy the snow even though she is still a bit out of coat and it's been quite cold here. Anyway, it is so much fun to watch her jumping and running in the snow.

A couple of weeks more, and then it's time to start the Christmas holiday! We will spend 2-3 weeks in Halikko so Iitu and Tiuku can enjoy the winter together. Next year I am planning some shows to Tiuku, she has been still maturing during this year and now at the age of two, she's looking better than ever. :)

Miyu ja Tiuku Saki Nene ja Shiro

The last two months have been really intresting and exciting time. It has been so wonderful to see how little babies grow up and learn new things. All three girls turned out to be brave, happy and cute shiba pups and they are doing just fine with their new owners. I am so pleased with them and waiting eagerly how girls will develop durign the next year.

The last born pup, Mirai No Yume "Miyu", is co-owned. She has this brave, open and playful temperament that I can't resist. Miyu (and hopefully the other pups too) will be seen in some shows during 2011.

It feels way too peaceful right now at home and I am missing my sweeties, but on the other hand it is nice to concentrate on other things too. Iitu is spending some "city-holiday" here in Vaasa and they are getting along so well with Tiuku. Like the best friends :) With Tiuku we are "back on track", we have advanced in agility very nicely. It is so much fun to train with Tiuku. She was a great mum to her firstborns, but she also seems to enjoy being the youngest in the house again! :)

Tiukun pennut, Miyu Nene ja Mini

Tiuku gave a birth for three lovely babygirls on Friday 13th. All are red and doing just fine. At the moment pups are one week old. Tiuku is a talented mum and I am so happy and proud! I'll write a puppyblog in Finnish, enjoy the photos!

10.8.2010 Soon..
We were at the x-rays a few days ago with Tiuku, to check that everything is okay. I also wanted to know how many pups there is, so that I can be better prepared to the delivery.

The x-ray told that there is three little shibas coming to the world soon! I am so excited, can't wait something to happen.. :)

It has been intresting to follow if Tiuku's tummy starts to grow and if her nature will change.. and it does! Now it's sure that there must be some puppies coming to the world!

Tiuku's belly start to get bigger a couple weeks ago (4th week of pregnancy) and she has been more calm than normal. We have continued to attend the agility and obedience courses this far, but now it's time to start the maternity leave.

Puntti, Tiuku's handsome fiancee was BOB with CACIB in Pori International show last weekend and Puntti's daugter Piri, Blackroyal's Biri, has also done a great job in shows during the last months (f.ex. BOS at the Shiba special show).

Here is two photos of Tiuku. In the first one she is on a day 40 and in the second one the day is 45. Beautiful mom, isn't she? :)
